The Buddy Hoffman Foundation was established to multiply Buddy’s legacy of making disciples by:

3| Planting new churches
Buddy Hoffman, the founder of the Grace Family of Churches, died on February 12, 2017, from complications of an aortic dissection he had suffered nearly four years earlier. At the time of his death, he and Jody were several months into planting Grace Marietta, the seventh church in the Family of Churches. In addition, as the founding leader, he continued to contribute apostolic vision and relational connection throughout the movement. Upon his death, the lead pastors of the churches unanimously agreed that the balance of the $1 million payout from Buddy’s key-man insurance policy should become the seed of a resourcing engine that would not merely sustain what happened during Buddy’s lifetime but rather multiply it.
The Buddy Hoffman Foundation is a Non Profit 501c3 Organization.

Buddy’s Life and Legacy
At the celebration and memorial of Buddy’s life, two prominent themes emerged with piercing clarity. First, Buddy’s family legacy was one of enormous blessing to his wife Jody, his three children, and his numerous grandchildren. Second, his ministry legacy was visible in the dynamic leaders and vibrant Grace churches that remain committed to Jesus, the Bible, and making disciples for God’s Kingdom.
In addition,
Buddy continuously looked for opportunities where more churches could be planted and was often the first to pioneer.
He relentlessly sought to identify and disciple young leaders who would build the Church.
He carried a fierce passion to love the world’s “1.57 billion Muslims” and introduce them to Jesus as graciously as possible.
As Buddy often taught, these passions flow from Jesus’ great commission in Matthew 28 to “Go and make disciples of all nations.” For Buddy, discipleship is strategic because its impact is exponential.
The Idea of a Buddy Hoffman Foundation
After Buddy’s death, the lead pastors of the Grace Family unanimously agreed that the most God-honoring and strategic use of the $1 million payout from the Key-Man life insurance policy would be to forego any direct financial benefit to each individual church and instead establish a 501(c)(3) foundation that would be a center of gravity for the apostolic vision and relational connection that was lost in his death and a resourcing engine to advance the ministry purposes that characterized Buddy’s life.
We believe these purposes are:
To identify and raise up next generation leaders for the Kingdom
To plant new churches
To catalyze Jesus movements in the Muslim world

The Buddy Hoffman Foundation and the Grace Family of Churches
Currently, the Grace Family of Churches share vision, values, doctrine, and resources as articulated in the Grace Family of Churches Living Essentials document. In brief, we envision the Family of Churches as just that–a relational “family” of communities at different stages of maturity who work together to accomplish God’s will. Each church is moving toward local autonomy, healthy board governance, and financial generosity. The convening strategic voice of the Family is what we call “The Family Table,” a community of leaders including the lead pastors of each church and other key contributors. BHF would relate to the Family Table in several key ways.
The Buddy Hoffman Foundation would:
Receive 5% of local tithe income from each of the local churches at the Table
Approve funding for projects aligning with the organization’s stated purpose
Oversee and encourage the faithful practice of the Living Essentials Document among all Grace Family members, churches, and organizations
Contribute strategic counsel
Hold BHF staff accountable to annual goals
Raise additional funding
